DAY 3 - CASE WESTERN RESERVE

Case Western Reserve University
Cleveland, Ohio
Weekends are not always the best days to visit a college or university in the summer,
but if you are in the neighborhood of an area then it is always great to take advantage of
the self-guided tour maps which are available on off days and hours of most institutions.

Summary:

Case Western Reserve University is a  large research university located in an urban setting. Many NMH students have added CWRU to their list because of it's international reputation and/or the engineering and medical research opportunities. What I learned on my visit is that CSWU is also quite proud of their business management and arts and sciences undergraduate majors.

Where next?
Oberlin College Oberlin, Ohio

All-Night Denny's in the middle of campus!!! This I'm seriously envious of. I certainly enjoyed a few 1am “Moons-over-my-hammy” in college.

CWRU offers an awesome strip of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops in the campus center. They were a little quiet on a Saturday morning in June, but I can only imagine what the night life is like during the school year.

There are real advantages to attending an urban university. Just steps from campus are many of Cleveland's cultural gems.

Cleveland, Ohio is home to the Rock and Role Hall of Fame. There is plenty of good music to hear in this city.
Gus was a unimpressed with the lavender field in the Cleveland Botanical Garden which resides on the edge of campus. He is spoiled by the NMH farm lavender harvest

On our way out of the city we stopped at a Cleveland hotspot. This is Edgewater State Park. We were surrounded by dozens of cyclists, birthday picnics, and beach goers.
